Autumn term 2021

At STEP we are all very excited to start the new term.

The heat of summer has still been hanging around a little bit
but we look forward to the changing season as we move into Autumn.

Our students enjoyed creating a lot of craft for our Autumn decorations.

S class made some cute hand- shaped maple leaves.

T class made some cool spikey hedgehogs.

E class made some wise looking owls

and P class made some fantastic 3D apples.

Music class was a big HOOT this month!
Students learned all about brassbands and the many different instruments
that can been seen in brassband performances.

Students even got some hands on time with a real trumpet.
They looked very cool as they held it carefully.

Our EP class students enjoyed their cultural outing
at the beginning of term.

They went to the nearby pottery center
and got to make their own cups and dishes.

They had fun molding their clay into the special shapes
to make their pieces.

Students had studied about Japanese history before going
so they were very eager to see some old pots and relics
that reminded them of their Jomon period and Yayoi period theme studies.

Students also got to see an old Japanese style straw and wood house
at the pottery center museum.

They were excited to get up close and see so many details.
