Events in November

November was a lot of fun at STEP!

It was great to see the tree leaves change color
as we enjoyed Autumn to the fullest.
The weather was perfect for playing outside and being active.

The biggest event the students where looking forward to was their excursion to Nodoka Village.

The day was full of exciting activities.

First students had the chance to make  konyakku with their own hands.
They measured water, blended potatoes and stirred a mixture to get it just right before making nice konyakku balls to take home.
It was hard work but it paid off with good results.

Then students ventured to the farm and claimed their own radishes.
The size of the radishes surprised us all.
Some of them were even taller than some kids!
With a nice strong pull all the students were successful in pulling them out of the ground.

The fun continued all day. We all enjoyed a nice picnic and talked about each others lunch boxes.

Then students could experience an extra special playground where they could challenge them selves to many obstacles and balance equipment.

The excursion sure was a great day with lots of good memories.

Later in the month we had our earthquake drill. Students focused well to put on their cotton helmets and secure themselves under the table.
They did a great job and were very responsible.

Thanksgiving day was on the 25th.
Students learned about the holiday traditions and had their own Thanksgiving Dinner role play.
They gathered food, sat around the table and listened to each others expressions of thankfulness.

Students are currently practicing hard for their Christmas play performance next month.
They enjoy saying their lines, singing songs and practicing every day.
They are really looking forward to performing at the STEP Christmas party‼
