Fire station
This month we visited the fire station
to learn about fire and earthquake safety.
We enjoyed putting on the firefighter uniforms
and posing with a salute.

We watched a special children video about fire safety.
We learned a lot.
We took a ride on an earthquake simulator.
We held on tight and experienced levels from 2-5.
What a shake!
We could see the effects of earthquakes on towns
in an example town set up inside the fire station.
We had fun bouncing on an inflatable fire truck jumping castle.

Show and tell
Our Show and Tell topic for January was “My favorite winter clothes”.
Students showed each other their favorite sweaters, jackets and coats.
They talked about the designs and enjoyed feeling
the warm and soft materials of each other’s favorite clothes.
